When I was a young man I played my guitar
I played for the people in Black Jack's Bar
They danced to the music and called me a star

They called for a break and I stepped through the door

When up stepped a woman with a bottle in her hand

She took one swallow and I saw her frown
I turned up the bottle and I guzzled it down
I battled my eyes and I looked at her charms
The next thing I knew she was in my arms
I got in trouble in Black Jack's Bar
