Pleasure's Been All Mine

Joe Nixon

© ATV Music, BMI

The passion we shared when I believed you cared
Was just another part that you played
But you played our part so well I could never tell
You didn't love the love that we made

And I just found out the pleasure's been all mine
You loved me with your body with another on your mind
That you gave me was nothing but a lie
And I just found out the pleasure's been all mine

Like an actress in a play our bedroom was your stage
And you gave a star performance every night
But there'll be no encore calls no cheers and no applause
You can draw the curtain and turn down the lights

It's Heaven Loving You

Freddie Hart - Jack Lebsock

© Hartline Music, BMI

(Believe me girl it's heaven loving you)

Your easy lovin' makes my life a dream
Little wonder my hang up is you
Bless your heart for loving me
Sweet baby we have been on a life long trip to heaven
Believe me girl it's heaven loving you

And it's been this way ever since the first time
I woke on the warm side of you
So please hang in there girl Lord knows I need you girl
Got the all overs for you all over me
It's a feelin' made just for two
A super kinda feelin' my super kinda woman
Believe me girl it's heaven loving you
Oh believe me girl it's heaven loving you

Falling All Over Me

Freddie Hart

© Hartline Music, BMI

Well I'm fallin' all over me all over you
Things I only dreamed about I can say and I can do with you
Already feel your feelin's comin' through
Fallin' all over me all over you

Heaven finally made you mine to have and to hold
I made a promise I'm not gonna break
Satisfaction guaranteed will be my goal
And I don't care how long forever takes

Cause I'm fallin' all over me all over you...

Now I've got you where I want you all to myself
Waited for this moment for so long
Now we can love and love till there's no loneliness left
With heaven on our side we can't go wrong
And I'm fallin' all over me all over you

And I'm fallin' all over me all over you
Things I only dreamed about I can say and I can do with you
I already feel your feelin's comin' through
Fallin' all over me fallin' all over me
Fallin' all over me all over you

But For The Grace Of God

Jack Lebsock

© Hartline Music, BMI

She was crying when I left her God knows a lot of ugly things were said
And the saddest part I don't know how it started I only know I lost my head
I got into my car and drove away into the night
And I guess I must have run at least a dozen signal lights
Then I stopped into a barroom I thought a drink might help to ease my mind

Found myself a corner table wanting nothing more than just to be alone
When an old man made his way across the room and I just figured he was stoned
He said I looked as though I could really use a friend
I said not tonight but thank you anyway old man
But he pulled up a chair as though he'd been invited and sat down

And then he said
I've seen that look before a thousand times you needn't say a word
But then sometimes it's better if you tell someone about it so I've heard
Before I knew it I had told him every thing I done
Teardrops filled his eyes and he said listen to me son
You're looking at a fool and now but for the grace of God go you

And then he said to me
Once I had a woman and I loved her like I know you love your own
But we had a silly quarrel and like you I left and stayed out all night long
Lord what I found when I got home I relieve till I die
The sirens and the flames that filled the early mornin' sky
The old man was still talkin' as I ran out the door headed home

There's An Angel Living There

Steve Stone

© Mandina Music, BMI

There's no wings growing on her shoulders
No golden halo encircles her hair
But don't be fooled by the lipstick paint and powder that she wears
For beneath it all there's an angel living there

Hand me downs are all she has to her name
Except for one soft yellow dress she wears
And that's too tight but she thinks it lends a worldly woman's air
But beneath it all there's an angel living there

Her mama loved her and she tried to raise her right
Her daddy couldn't give her nice things but God knows how he tried
And heaven knows that this tavern girl's the answer to my prayers
For beneath it all there's an angel living there
I know beneath it all there's an angel living there

Thank God She's Mine

Curly Putman - Sonny Throckmorton - Mike Kosser

© Tree Pub, BMI

She's not a diamond but when the sun hits her just right
She sparkles so pretty in the early morning light
She's the kind of woman a fool so seldom finds
She's all I prayed for and I thank God she's mine

She's not silk and satin but she's cotton soft in love
No she's not smooth perfection that fools like me dream of
But in my darkest hours that's when my woman shines
She's all I prayed for and I thank God she's mine

She's not a rainbow she's not the sky
And she'll be there long after the rainbows fade and die
She may not be heaven more like a guiding light
She's all I prayed for and I thank God she's mine
I thank God she's mine

Stronger And Stronger

Ben Peters

© Ben Peters Music, BMI

Stronger and stronger I'm feeling the hunger
And you're beginning to feel for me like I feel for you
Deeper and deeper hot as a fever
Burning out of control and I know where it's leading us to

You look like an angel on Sunday morning
But you were a devil on Saturday night
And even my best friend could not see the warning
The way you were dancing and holding me tight

Stronger and stronger I'm feeling the hunger...

Your eyes say you need me but not forever
And I'd gladly settle for one night alone
That once in a lifetime we spend together
We'll both remember long after I'm gone

Stronger and stronger I'm feeling the hunger...
Burning out of control and I know where it's leading us to

The Search

Sheb Wooley

© Channel Music, ASCAP

I've talked to all the long haired kids checked a few communes along the way
I know I'm not the only dad who's ever had a daughter run away
I'd gladly give the time I never had if I could make it up to her
The birthday parties when I said I'm sorry kid but I'll be late from work

Hey mister take a look at this old photograph I've shown it everywhere
You never forget a face like that she may have changed the way she wears her hair
To me she's still a little kid runnin' round in my old sloppy shirt
Please help me find my little girl this sure is a big old world to search

Standing on a highway his thumb pointing north to San Jose
Back down the line picked up a kid who said he'd seen her up that way
Is this another broken dream like all the ones before that brought the hurt
I can't hardly stand it still I can't abandon the search

I fumbled for a quarter and then I called her mother on the phone
I could tell she's cryin' and a chill goes through me to the bone
Then I heard another voice like an angel comin' over the phone
Oh God I recognized my little girl sayin' daddy daddy I'm home

Honky Tonk Toys

Arthur Leo Owens - Gene Vowell

© Belinda Music, BMI

Annie May Johnson gave birth to a child
In a room in the back of this bar
She named her Rainbow cause she came at midnight
In the light of a blue neon star

Rainbow brought sunshine to Annie Mae's life
while Annie served drinks to the boys
She'd sit on the floor in the back of this bar
And play with her honky tonk toys

And there were honky tonk toys like beer tops and beer clocks
But her most favorite toys of all
Was a beer carton cradle a tablecloth blanket
And a little brown beer bottle doll

Rainbow turned eighteen two summers ago
Old enough to go out on her own
She wanted to find her place in the world
So she left her honky tonk home

Annie Mae lost everything that she loved
Cause Rainbow was her pride and joy
And now all that's left of Annie Mae's Rainbow
Are three little honky tonk toys

And there were honky tonk toys like beer tops and beer clocks...

I Changed Everything But My Mind

Billy Arr - Jack Rodamaker

© Newkeys Music, BMI

I moved the paintings from the east wall to the west
Changed the drapes I hope it's for the best
I moved the couch a dozen times or more
I even changed the carpets on the floor

I removed the mirror you used to dress in
Laid a few tiles in the kitchen that were missin'
I sold the bed that we loved upon one time
I've changed everything but my mind

And it still misses you my lips still kiss you
My arms still long to hold you like they did for such a long long time
I've changed everything but my mind

I've changed the favorite chair you used to sit in
Moved the TV from the bedroom into the den
I've changed the pillowcases that you cried on
And the satin sheets you used to lie on

Changed the color of the walls from white to blue
Cause that's the way I feel inside from missin' you
I've changed each reminder I could find
I've changed everything but my mind

And it still misses you my lips still kiss you
My arms still long to hold you as they did for such a long long time
I've changed everything but my mind
I've changed everything but my mind
