Once I met a lady
My first for I was younger then
And now she feels a baby
Was a cold wind from the south
But what's it all about

In a week of constant Mondays
I will set sail on Friday
And honeysuckle sorrow
Let's go where the olives grow
Good lady of Toronto

Well I wish I was the baby there inside her
And I wish I had a day to lay beside her
And if I had my poems I'd recite to her
And I'd light a friendly candle when she's gone
