As country, the Pirates' Allman Brothers cops are more exciting than their stone-country material, although that's certainly competent enough. The white-country-soul "Till I'm Holding You Again" — which tries to rock out when you're not looking — is probably the best of all.

Too much workin'll make your back break too much trouble'll bring you heartache
Too much gravy'll make you fat too much rain'll ruin your hat
Too much coffee'll raise your heart-tick too much road'll make you homesick
Too much money'll make you lazy and too much whiskey'll drive you crazy

Too much just ain't enough too much ain't enough
Baby you're the only thing I do too much of ain't enough
[ steel ]
Too much hot rod get you a ticket too much dog'll make you kick it
Too much hidin' out'll find ya too much you know what'll blind ya
Too much wristwatch make you hurry too much waitin' make you worry
Too much smokin'll give you cancer too much cocaine ain't the answer

Too much just ain't enough...
[ guitar ]
Now too much walkin' wear your shoes out too much juice'll blow your fuse out
Too much Mexican food'll fill ya and too much honky tonk'll kill ya
Too much chip bruise your shoulder too much birthday make you older
Too much map always lost me and too much fun always cost me

Too much just ain't enough...
Too much just ain't enough...

I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY
(Roger Murrah - Rich Alves - Bill McCorvey)
« © '91 Murrah Music, BMI / Flaw Factor Music, BMI / Music Of Stage Three, BMI »

Way down in Texas just southwest of San Antone
There's a slow burnin' mem'ry that just won't leave my heart alone
I'm not here to complain I wouldn't have it any other way

This old road sure gets lonely the price you pay for bein' free
Workin' nights and sleeping days that's all right with me
It gets old but it's OK I wouldn't have it any other way

Well the eagle flies on Friday but that don't make the world go round
It's the music of the highway that keeps my feet on solid ground
I wouldn't have it any other way
[ steel ]
You may think this ain't livin' it may not be your cup of tea
You gotta live it like you feel it this feels fine to me
You just take it day by day I wouldn't have it any other way

Well the eagle flies on Friday...

Wouldn't have it any other way wouldn't have it any other way
Let's go boys it's time to roll

TILL I'M HOLDING YOU AGAIN
(Rich Alves - Bill McCorvey - Larry Gottlieb)
« © '91 Flaw Factor Music, BMI / Music Of Stage Three, BMI »

When the world lies still so late at night
I toss and turn can't get you off my mind
I hear the clock just tickin' away the telephone's got nothin' to say
I feel like this loneliness won't end till I'm holding you again

Waiting for your love to save me wanting only you baby
Lonely is the shape I'm in just trying to hold on
Till I'm holding you again
[ guitar ]
I can feel the beating of your heart
You're always here no matter where you are
I close my eyes and you're all I see I can't escape what you do to me
I feel like this loneliness won't end till I'm holding you again

Waiting for your love to save me...
Waiting for your love to save me...

GEORGIA PEACHES
(Rich Alves - Bill McCorvey)
« © '91 Flaw Factor Music, BMI / Music Of Stage Three, BMI »

You gotcha corn up in Iowa grapevines in California
But down south in Savannah GA you got Georgia peaches
The cotton's high in Alabam ol' Virginia's cookin' country ham
I go to Hot-Lanta everytime I can for Georgia peaches
[ steel ]
The rice is ready out in Arkansas
Tobacco in Kentucky's growin' ten feet tall
But down in Macon I always fall for Georgia peaches

Ripe for the picking underneath that Dixie moon
When those peaches get to shakin' makes it hard to keep your cool
New York Dallas and LA all the pretty girls take my breath away
There must be magic in that old red clay they got Georgia peaches

Georgia peaches Georgia peaches Georgia peaches

Ripe for the picking underneath that Dixie moon...
Georgia peaches Georgia peaches

FIGHTING FOR YOU
(Roger Murrah - Bill McCorvey)
« © '91 Murrah Music, BMI / Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »

I don't know if I can recover
How can we be friends if we can't be lovers
It's killing me thinking of you with him
Call it pride call it stubborn but I won't give up
Till I know there's no other way to start all over again

Cause there's just so much one man can take
Even the strongest heart can break
When the tears start to roll
It's like trying to hold back the sea

But I won't give up you know how I am
I'll fight till I fall then make one more stand
How can I lose fighting for you
[ steel ]
Cause there's just so much...
But I won't give up...
Tell me how can I lose fighting for you

THIS AIN'T THE DENVER I REMEMBER
(Rich Alves - Bill McCorvey - Paul Nelson)
« © '91 Flaw Factor Music, BMI / Music Of Stage Three, BMI / Paul Nelson Music, BMI »

Like a fool I left Colorado and the girl I thought I didn't need
Now I've come back out west just to find out that she's left
Now where in the world does that leave me

This ain't the Denver I remember this ain't no rocky mountain high
Since she's forgotten me I'm lost in memories
But this ain't the Denver I remember
[ guitar ]
I can still see the foothills in the distance
I can still see forever in her eyes
And when the snow begins to fall it's just like I recall
Yeah it's still winters paradise

But this ain't the Denver I remember...

Since she said goodbye there ain't no rocky mountain high
This ain't the Denver I remember

NASHVILLE NIGHTS / REDNECK BLUES
(Rich Alves - Bill McCorvey)
« © '91 Flaw Factor Music, BMI / Music Of Stage Three, BMI »

Well I'm a redneck yeah they call me the blue collar man
Yeah I'm a redneck Lord they call me the blue collar man
Cause I work hard every day and I party as much as I can

They call me hillbilly that's alright with me
I've been called hillbilly that's just fine with me
Like my daddy and his daddy Lord it runs in the family

But I can take a woman hold her in my arms
Teke her round the world and never leave the farm
Yeah I'm a redneck hillbilly through and through
Well sometimes I might get crazy but I ain't nobody's fool

I liked about my taxes liked to my ex-wife too
I've lied about my drinkin' but tonight I'm tellin' the truth
Yeah I'm a redneck hillbilly through and through
Well sometimes I might get crazy but I ain't nobody's fool

STORM
(Rich Alves - Bill McCorvey)
« © '91 Flaw Factor Music, BMI / Music Of Stage Three, BMI »

There's a storm coming better get down in the cellar
This time I know I'm gonna break somebody's heart
She don't understand me it's gonna kill her when I tell her
Our love is falling apart

Can't you hear the thunder there's lightening in the air
Feel the cold wind blowing it's raining everywhere
There's a storm comin' better hang on to your heart
Our love is falling apart

Everybody's searchin' looking for a rainbow
Chasing your dreams it ain't easy to do
But this ol' boy he's gotta follow the sunshine
And I can't find it here with you

Can't you hear the thunder...

There's a storm comin' better hang on to your heart
Our love is falling apart our love is falling apart

UNCOMMON MAN
(Rich Alves - Bill McCorvey - Gary Harrison)
« © '91 Flaw Factor Music, BMI / Music Of Stage Three, BMI »

Well I work like a dog on the midnight shift
Where I'm a number not a name
So many times I've wanted to quit
And break loose from these chains
But I've got a family waitin' back home
And they all depend on me
For the clothes they wear upon their backs
And the shoes on their feet

I'm an uncommon man that nobody sees
I pay my way every working day no one carries me
My blood sweat and tears are etched upon this land
I'm just an ordinary uncommon man

Mr Congressman Mr Senator I think you oughta know
You can't pretend I don't exist and expect to get my vote
All I want is what is fair I'm not one to complain
If you'll just show me some respect then I'll show you the same

I'm an uncommon man...

My neck may be a little red my collar may be blue
I'll meet anybody half the way but I'm nobody's fool

I'm an uncommon man...
Well I'm just an ordinary uncommon man

HONKY TONK HIGHWAY
(Rich Alves - Bill McCorvey - Steve Dean)
« © '91 Flaw Factor Music, BMI / Music Of Stage Three, BMI / Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »

Seventeen and out of control
Old blue jeans and a restless soul
Feeling free headed nowhere
But it sure felt good gettin' there

We were looking for love on that honky tonk highway
Too much was never enough on that honky tonk highway
[ guitar ]
Years go by like old friends and towns
Exit signs can't slow me down
Still ain't found what I'm looking for
So I'll keep on running till I can't run no more

We're still looking for love on that honky tonk highway
Too much is never enough on that honky tonk highway
[ guitar ]
We're still looking for love...
We're still looking for love...
