YOU'RE DRIVING ME OUT OF MY MIND

(G. Smith) « © '66 Screen Gems Music, BMI »
You drove me to the church on Sunday to our home on Monday
And I've been here the rest of the time
I know she's somewhere out there by your side
While I'm taking for a ride
You're driving me out of my mind

We've been a one car family ever since we said I do
Trouble is I never see a car for you
I need love so bad if you just can't be found
You're always somewhere with your friends up town
You drove me to the church...
[ guitar - el.banjo ] I thought having you would bring me happiness
But now I'm living in a house of loneliness
These walls that I've been talking to won't hold me tight
And I'll cry myself to sleep again tonight

You drove me to the church...
Yes you're driving me out of my mind

SHIRT

(Bill Anderson - Mike Strickland - George Bailey) « © '66 Tree Publishing, BMI »
Last night I was goin' to the closet and on the rack with my dresses
I found the shirt he'd worn when he held me in his arms for the very last time
The shirt I knew that he'd never wear again
As I took it from the rack all my dreams came racin' back
The faint perfume of sweet love filled the night
I could see his face again he kissed my lips as then
And I almost felt his arms around me tight
A shirt that even the Gods must envy
For its arms once encircled the dream that only heaven can bring
Inside this shirt had beaten the most wonderful heart in the whole wide world
And forever each thread shall remind me of him
I turned down a rolled up sleeve and I scaresly could believe
When I looked and saw a strand of my own hair
It was clinging like a vine to the shirt he left behind
As if to let him know that I still care
I walked to the window sill and my eyes began to fill
And I thought I heard the soft wind call his name
And the shirt across my arm grew strangely soft and warm
As if I'd reached and held it to a flame
And there I stood hearing only the beat of my own aching heart
Lost in the dreams that might have been
And the shirt seemed as sorrowful as I and just as empty body and soul

WILL YOU BE HERE TOMORROW

(Vic McAlpin) « © '66 Tree Publishing, BMI »
These things that you promised for certain
Will you forget them when I'm out of sight
Or will you really be here tomorrow
To do what you promised tonight

I'm afraid you might find it too easy
To make a promise when you're holdin' me tight
So I wonder will you be here tomorrow
To do what you promised tonight

It's easy to do the wrong things some time
Cause some time the wrong things seem right
So I wonder will you be here tomorrow
To do what you promised tonight
[ organ ] It's easy to do the wrong things some time...

WOMAN'S GOTTA MAKE A STAND

(Curly Putman - Don Wayne) « © '66 Tree Publishing, BMI »
Oh oh woman's gotta make a stand somewhere
There's no happiness to find running here and there
Wanderlust may torture me at times but I don't care
Cause a woman's gotta make a stand somewhere

Foolishly I wasted all my life on the glitter of the grind night life
Afraid they let my heart strings tie me down
But now at last I found someone who'll forgive the wrongs I've done
So I'm gonna put my feet on former ground

Cause a woman's gotta make a stand somewhere...

The laughter of the good time crowd jukebox playing much too loud
May sometimes burn within my mind so strong
But with my new love by my side I'm gonna take my stand in life
Cause I know I found the place where I belong

Cause a woman's gotta make a stand somewhere...
Yes a woman's gotta make a stand somewhere

A-11

(Hank Cochran) « © '63 Tree Publishing, BMI »
I just came in here from force of habit
I don't intend to spend too much time in here
But I heard you headin' for the teardrops
And if you play A-11 there'll be tears

I don't know you from Adam but if you're gonna play the jukebox
Please don't play A-11

Oh this used to be our favorite nightspot
And when he was here it was heaven
It was here he first told me that he loved me
And he always played A-11

I don't know you from Adam...
Please don't play A-11

CRYING TIME

(Buck Owens) « © '64 Tree Publishing, BMI »
Oh it's crying time again you're gonna leave me
I can see that faraway look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me darling
That it won't be long before it's crying time

Now they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder
And that tears are only rain to make love grow
But my love for you could never be no stronger
If I live to be a hundred years old

Oh it's crying time again...
[ piano ] Now you say you found someone you love better
For that's the way it's happened every time before
And just as sure as the sun comes up tomorrow
Crying time will start when you walk out the door

Oh it's crying time again...

RIGHT OR WRONG (I'LL BE WITH YOU)

(Wanda Jackson) « © '61 Combine Music, BMI »
Right or wrong I'll be with you I'll do what you ask me to
For I believe that I belong by your side right or wrong
Right or wrong it's gotta be always you always me
Won't you take me along to be with you right or wrong

If it's right for me to love you it can't be wrong for me to care
If you will say you love me my life with you I'll share
Right or wrong day by day oh my love all the way
For I believe that I belong by your side right or wrong

If it's right for me to love you...

THEN GO HOME TO HER

(Hank Cochran - Jeannie Seely) « © '65 Tree Publishing, BMI »
You take me out in splendor then go home to her
Whisper words so tender then go home to her
Though the things we do are wrong I'm not sure I can go on
How can you leave me here alone then go home to her

You take me out with all your friends then go home to her
And that's when all the hurt begins while you're home with her
I must be brave so I won't cry but I think I'll surely die
Every time you say that I must go home to her
[ violin ] You take me home and then you're gone home to her
I'm left to face the night alone while you're home with her
If you never will be free why must all this torture be
If you can't always be with me then go home to her

WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING

(Don Gibson) « © '64 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »
Watch watch where you're going you're steppin' all over my heart
Watch watch where you're going or you'll tear my poor heart apart
Please take this precaution or you'll cause the teardrops to start
Just take what I say do this I pray you're steppin' all over my heart

Please don't try to hurt me away just save me a few lonely days
Now surely you know it's not right to torture my long lonely nights
Watch watch where you're going or you'll cause the teardrops to start
Just take what I say do this I pray you're steppin' all over my heart

Please don't try to hurt me away...
Just take what I say do this I pray you're steppin' all over my heart

HERE WE GO AGAIN

(Dusty Rose) « © '66 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »
Oh well here we go again

Well here we go again making promises and holding hands again
Well how's it gonna end breaking up and making up here we go again
In your world of nights beyond the neon lights
You're gone awhile soon you're back again
I guess it's just your way and I'll have to pay for my doubt
Oh well here we go again
[ el.banjo ] Well my head is in a spin your promises are gone with the wind
Well I guess I'll never win but sink or swim I'll take you in here we go again
You're a man out of vows in this lonely house I'm the one who has to get in
When I think I had enough and I try to get tough you just smile
Oh well here we go again

BOX IT CAME IN

(Vic McAlpin) « © '65 Tree Publishing, BMI »
My clothes are all ragged my goodwill coat's not the best
And I'm walking on cardboard in my last dollar dress
I looked in the closet for my wedding gown
But the box that it came in was all that I found

He took everything with him that wasn't nailed down
Bet he's got a new sweetheart to fill my wedding gown
But somewhere I'll find him then I'll have peace of mind
And the box he comes home in will be all satin lined
[ steel ] He took everything with him...
And the box he comes home in will be all satin lined

PLEASE DON'T HURT ME

(Harlan Howard) « © '66 Tree Publishing, BMI »
I can't stand another broken heart
Please please don't hurt me
One more hurt and I'll just fall apart
Please please don't hurt me

I've been down as low as a heart could ever go
Torn all apart and so lonely
When I'm in your arms I'd lose control
Please please don't hurt me
[ steel ] Are you really mine to have and hold
Please please don't hurt me
Give me all your love I needed so
Please please don't hurt me
