Super Kind of Woman was released in the midst of Freddie Hart's commercial renaissance in the '70s, when he was cranking out hits like crazy, and the album reflects the high standards he set for himself. Most of the songs were written or co-written by Hart, and two tracks ("Super Kind of Woman" and "Trip to Heaven") went to number one. Hart's frequent use of words like "sexy" and phrases like "you turn me on" were a mild manifestation of a fad for risqué or sexually expressive country music, but his songs were typically expressions of love — often marital love — rather than pure physical desire. Perhaps this mix of conservative messages couched in relatively hip terminology helped sell Hart's solid country music to the genre's amorphous audience of the '70s. Whatever the case, Hart showed one way that country music could be updated without losing its identity during a time when the music was moving increasingly toward the pop mainstream.

SUPER KIND OF WOMAN

I get the greatest feeling a super kind of feeling
And it's because I've got a super kind of woman
She came to me so gently and so sweet
Easy loving swept me off my feet
It was so natural for me to love her
I was always thinking of her
With her beside me now that's all I need
With her I get the greatest feeling...
I love that girl with all my heart and soul
With her I am no longer half a whole
She gives me strength to face tomorrow
She comforts me in times of sorrow
With her beside me life is worth it all
With her I get the greatest feeling...
A super kind of woman

I've had other girls before been in and out of love before
But baby baby it's so good with you
The other girls that turned me on the feeling never lasted long
But baby baby it's so good with you
I'm confessing they were all a blessing got some tender memories
But you're the only one to bring my heart down on its knees
Sweet love you give to me it's always brand new
And baby baby it's so good with you
I'm confessing they were all a blessing...

(Freddie Hart)
« © '72 Unichappell Music, BMI »
Hello darling I just had to telephoned
Can't bear this pain of waiting I'm so blue so all alone
Baby I miss you oh such a warm and wild desire
I can't wait to hold and kiss you my heart feels like it's on fire
I know it's almost midnight and they close up the town
There's really not too much that we can do
But if we are together and there's no one around
At least I will be there with you
No need for you dress up for you won't have that long to wait
Just give me time to hang this phone up we'll have a midnight date
Yes I know it's almost midnight...

Unbelievable love unbelievable love
Mhm my sweet baby gives me unbelievable love
Sometimes I wake up after midnight worried about the coming day
But she just puts her arms around me and gently loves my cares away
And when I wake up in the morning I gives the strenght to carry on
Cause I know her love goes with me yes it does now every minute that I'm gone
Unbelievable love unbelievable love...
When the day is finally over one thing on my mind is home
She'll be waiting there to give me the sweetest love I've ever known
Unbelievable love unbelievable love...
Unbelievable love unbelievable love...

How does this grab you baby can't you believe what's going on
Did you get that so good feeling it's coming on so strong
Ain't this loving really something I think my heart just touched the sky
I just took a trip to heaven I didn't even have to die
If I'm dreaming please don't wake me love may never come again
Hang on we'll ride together to a sweet or bitter end
Loving you performed a miracle I don't need no wings to fly
I just took a trip to heaven I din't even have to die
If I'm dreaming please don't wake me...

I DON'T BELIEVE IN GHOSTS
(Freddie Hart - Johnny Urbans)
« © '72 Tree Publishing, BMI »
It's a nightmare that I live in since you went away
Your voice your pretty face they haunt me night and day
I know you've gone and left me but are you really gone
I don't believe in ghosts but then again I could be wrong
Last night I could swear I heard you calling me
Could be a premonition of telephaty
The phone rang but when I answered was just a dialin' tone
I don't believe in ghosts but then again I could be wrong
I can feel the taste of flavor of your tender kiss
I can feel my arms around you crazy things like this
But I really know you're somewhere in another's arms
I don't believe in ghosts but then again I could be wrong
I don't believe in ghosts but then again I could be wrong
I could be wrong

YOU'RE KILLING ME WITH KINDNESS
(Freddie Hart - Mary Bourget)
« © '72 Tree Publishing, BMI »
You're killing me with kindness you're loving me to death
Your lovin' is just like poison with no antidote
Just one little sip from your soft sweet lips and that's all she wrote
For what it's all worth I had heaven on earth what else is left
You're killing me with kindness you're loving me to death
But if I've gotta go there's no better way to go I can think of
For I've had the best of happinness I've been wanted needed and loved
Oh what good way to die I won't even try to help myself
You're killing me with kindness you're loving me to death
Yes if I've gotta go there's no better way to go...

MOTHER NATURE MADE A BELIEVER OUT OF ME
(Freddie Hart - Jack Adams)
« © '72 Tree Publishing, BMI »
Just another pretty figure she was just another pretty face
That's all she was as far as my eyes could see
Could never tell my women apart until a love got a hold on my heart
Mother nature made a believer out of me
Yes she really took me by surprise I just couldn't believe my own eyes
What was said and done it camae so naturally
With just a little taste of love she opened up a brand new world
Yes mother nature made a believer out of me
The goal I've been reachin' for I've planned on this
In the arms of love my feelings flow so free
And it didn't take a too much time to control my heart and my mind
For mother nature made a believer out of me
Oh mother nature made a believer out of me

JULIE I'M LEAVING
(Homer Joy)
« © '72 Tree Publishing, BMI »
Julie I tried so many times to leave you
But I guess you never thought I'd really go
But Julie I got my pride and I can't stay here
Cause I can feel I'm loved or needed anymore
So Julie I'm leaving Julie I'm leaving
I just hope you'll make it better on your own
Julie I'm leaving Julie I'm leaving
Lord I just wonder how long I can stay gone
Now Julie there's lots of things I'd like to tell you
And I thought of lots of things I'd like to say
Oh but Julie I never been too good at laking
And besides you never listened anyway
So Julie I'm leaving Julie I'm leaving...
Julie don't let me go
