MY ADOBE HACIENDA
(Lee Penny - Louise Massey)
« © '59 Peer International, BMI »

In my adobe hacienda there's a touch of Mexico
Cactus lovelier than orchids blooming in the patio
Soft desert stars and the strum of guitars make every evening seem so sweet
In my adobe hacienda life and love are more complete

In my adobe hacienda nested in the western hills
Evening breezes softly murmur harmony with whippoorwills
When setting sun says the long day is done sweet music starts to fill the air
In my adobe hacienda harmony is everywhere

RED SAILS IN THE SUNSET
(Jimmy Kennedy - Hugh Williams - Wilhelm Grosz)
« © '35 Shapiro-Bernstein Co, ASCAP »

Mhmm red sails in the sunset way out on the sea
Oh carry my loved one home safely to me
He sailed at the dawning all day I've been blue
Red sails in the sunset I'm trusting in you

Swift wings you must borrow make straight for the shore
We marry tomorrow and he'll go sailing no more
Red sails in the sunset way out on the sea
Oh carry my loved one home safely to me
[ guitar ]
Swift wings you must borrow...

STREAMLINED CANNONBALL
(Roy Acuff)

(It's the Streamlined Cannonball)

A long steel rail a short crosstie I'm on my way back home
I'm on a train the king of them all the Streamlined Cannonball

She moves along like a cannonball like a star in its heavenly flight
This lonesome sound from the whistle you love as she travels through the night

Her headlight gleams out in the night her firebox flash you see
The blinds I ride the lights that I love it's home sweet home to me

She moves along like a cannonball...

COOL WATER
(Bob Nolan)
« © '36 Music Of The West, BMI / Unichappell Music, BMI »

All day I've faced a barren waste without the taste of water cool water
Old Dan and I with throats burt dry and souls that cry for water cool clear water

Keep a movin' Dan don't you listen to him Dan
He's a devil not a man and he spreads the burning sand with water
Dan can you see that big green tree where the water's running free
And it's waiting there for me and you cool water cool clear water

The nights are cool and I'm a fool each star's a pool of water cool water
But with the dawn I'll wake and yawn and carry on to water cool clear water

The shadows sway and seem to say tonight we pray for water cool water
And way up there he'll hear our prayer
And show us where there's water cool clear water

Keep a movin' Dan...

ENCHANTED SEA
(Randy Starr - Frank Metis)
« © '59 Gil Music, BMI »

There is a sea enchanted sea that only lovers know
It sings a song as it flows along with waves that whisper low
When love is true it will be endless and deep as the deep blue sea
Your tender love brings the magic of the enchanted sea to me
(When love is true it will be endless and deep as the deep blue sea)
Your tender love brings the magic of the enchanted sea to me

BILLY McCOY
(Melvin Schmidt)
« © '59 Unichappell Music, BMI »

Where is my Billy my Billy McCoy
Where is the boy of my dreams
Singin' this song as the boat rolls along
Headin' for ole New Orleans huhuh headin' for ole New Orleans

I once had a lover named Billy McCoy
He lived by the river's big bend
One warm summer day Billy wondered away
He's gone but our love didn't end
They say he went down where the riverboats dock
With narry a cent in his jeans
A barefooted lad who could sing round the clock
And wanted to see New Orleans

Where is my Billy my Billy McCoy...

He took his guitar and he sang very well
A riverboat crew heard him there
They took him aboard on the Big Dixie Bell
To sing for his dinner and fare
I pray every night that he misses me so
And after he sees New Orleans
He'll sing his way home for he loves me I know
My barefooted boy in blue jeans

Where is my Billy my Billy McCoy...

OLD LAMPLIGHTER
(Charles Tobias - Nat Simon)
« © '59 Edwin H. Morris & Co, ASCAP »

He made the night a little brighter wherever he would go
The old lamplighter of long long ago
His snowy hair was so much whiter beneath the candle glow
The old lamplighter of long long ago
You'd hear the patter of his feet as he came todding down the street
His smile would hide a lonely heart you see
If there were sweethearts in the park he'd pass a lamp and leave it dark
Remembering the days that used to be
For he recalls when dreams were new he loved someone who loved him too
Who walks with him alone in memory
He made ther night a little brighter wherever he would go
The old lamplighter of long long ago
Now if you look up at the sky you'll understand the reason why
The little stars at night are all aglow
He turns them on when night is here he turns them off when dawn is near
The little man we loved of long ago
He made ther night a little brighter wherever he would go
The old lamplighter of long long ago

AM I THAT EASY TO FORGET
(Carl Belew - W.S. Stevenson)
« © '59 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »

You say you've found somebody new but that won't stop my loving you
I just can't let you walk away forget the love I have for you

Guess I could find somebody new but I don't want no one but you
How can you leave without regret am I that easy to forget

Before you leave be sure you find you want his love much more than mine
Cause I'll just say we'd never met if I'm that easy to forget

Guess I could find somebody new but I don't want no one but you
How can you leave without regret you're not that easy to forget

THAT LITTLE BOY OF MINE
(Wayne King - Benny Maroff - Walter Hirsch)
« © '47 Edwin H. Morris & Co, ASCAP »

A tiny turned up nose his cheek's just like a rose
So sweet from head to toe that little boy of mine
He's all the world to me he climbs upon my knee
To me he'll always be that little boy of mine

No one will ever know just what his coming has meant
Because I love him so he's something heaven has sent
A tiny turned up nose his cheek's just like a rose
So sweet from head to toe that little boy of mine

No one will ever know just what his coming has meant
Because I love him so he's something heaven has sent
He's all the world to me he climbs upon my knee
To me he'll always be that little boy of mine

SCARLET RIBBONS (FOR HER HAIR)
(Jack O. Segal - Evelyn Danzing)
« © '57 Belwin Mills Music, ASCAP »

I peeked in to say goodnight when I heard my child in prayer
Send dear God some scarlet ribbons scarlet ribbons for my hair
All the stores were closed and shuttered all the streets were dark and bare
In our town no scarlet ribbons not one ribbons for her hair
Through the night my heart was aching just before the dawn was breaking
I peeked in and on her bed in gay profusion laying there
I saw ribbons scarlet ribbons scarlet ribbons for her hair
If I live to be a hundred I will never know from where
Came those lovely scarlet ribbons scarlet ribbons for her hair

HALFWAY TO HEAVEN
(John D. Loudermilk)
« © '59 Cedarwood Publishing, BMI »

Halfway halfway to heaven I walked here with you up and to the stary blue
Halfway halfway to heaven is where we stopped and then you dropped
From out of my arms

You took me by my hand and made me understand
That love is oh so grand then spoke of wedding bands
And then our hear's began to beat as one and then
You slipped away and left me stranded
Halfway halfway to heaven I'm way up here above with no one to love

You took me by my hand...

(Cole Porter)
« © '55 Chappell & Co, ASCAP »

Why I give to you and you give to me true love true love
So on and on it will always be true love true love

For you and I have a guardian angel on high with nothing to do
But to give to you and to give to me love forever true

For you and I have a guardian angel...

But to give to you and to give to me
Love forever true love forever true
