ALL YOU ADD IS LOVE
(Liz Anderson)
« © '69 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »
(All you add is love)
Take the cottage (take the cottage) any cottage by the side of the road
And you like it (yes you like it) so you buy it it's the house that you own
You can change it (rearrange it) you can change it from a house to a home
All you add is love
For love makes the difference from better to best (right sadder or less)
Love makes the difference some philosopher wrote and I quote
Take a baby (take a baby) any baby with the button down nose
Just a baby (stranger baby) any baby tiny fingers and toes
You can change it (you can change it) from a baby to the child of your own
All you add is love
(Take a neighbor) take a neighbor (any neighbor you see now and again
Any someone) smart or damn one (can he come on and he bother all land
You'll be neighbors) only neighbors (yes be neighbors) if we got to be friends
All you add is love
For love makes the difference from better to best (right sadder or less)
Love makes the difference (yes love makes the difference)
Love makes the difference all you add is love

STAND BY YOUR MAN
(Billy Sherrill - Tammy Wynette)
« © '68 Al Gallico Music, BMI »
Sometimes it's hard to be a woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have sad times and he'll have good times
Doin' things that you don't understand
But if you love him you'll forgive him even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him be proud of him cause after all he's just a man
Stand by your man give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to when the nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man and show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can stand by your man
Stand by your man and show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can stand by your man

TOO MANY DOLLARS NOT ENOUGH SENSE
(Liz Anderson)
« © '68 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »
This world is filled with many kinds of people
Most of them so poor they can hardly pay the rent
Then there's another kind lots of funny people too many dollars not enough sense
[ harmonica ]
Rich man's son he goes away to college he has such fun no work and all play
He's not there for gettin' any knowledge he'll have his daddy bus'ness some day
Rich boy fails and daddy wonders what he did chewing his nails all nervous and tense
Never figures out that the trouble was he gave the kid
Too many dollars not enough sense
[ harmonica ]
Poor little poor girl young and so beautuful marries old man with foot in the grave
Marries him for money now she's gonna spend it all
Gonna throw away every dollar he saved
Man wakes up one morning all useless pretty girl gone and money all spent
Was his own fault for turning her loose with too many dollars not enough sense
[ harmonica ]
Indian live all life on reservation all he knows is sweatin' and toil
White man come and dig on reservation poke around and bring 'em up oil
Indian rich now gotta have a Cadillac him buy five and a Mercedes Benz
Take to reservation park 'em all back to back too many dollars not enough sense
This world is filled with many kinds of people...
Too many dollars not enough sense

MILLION SHADES OF BLUE
(Gene Hood)
« © '69 Gene Hood Music, BMI »
The dying flames of love are slowly flickering
Upon the walls of dreams I built around you
They slowly sail away leaving scars of loneliness
And my wealth will be a million shades of blue
My tears will fall on any abuse in you
Of the rose colored love that we once knew
My plan for happiness will soon be all ashes
And my wealth will be a million shades of blue
[ piano ]
My tears will fall...

ONLY BABY THAT'LL WALK THE LINE
(Ivy J. Bryant - Liz Anderson)
« © '67 Central Songs, BMI »
Everybody knows you been steppin' on my toes
And I'm gettin' pretty tired of it
I'm gonna hitch you on my head with a plenty corn bread
If you had any sense you'd quit
Cause ever since I was a little bitty teeny girl
You thought you was the only man in my world
But now you bettter do some thinkin' then you'll find
You got the only baby that'll walk the line
I keep a workin' every day all you wanna do is play
I'm tired a stayin' out all night
I'm a comin' unglued from your funny little moods
Now honey baby that ain't right
Cause ever since I was a little bitty teeny girl...
[ guitar ]
I keep a packin' up your clothes nearly everybody knows
That I'm just a puttin' you on
Cause when you start a walkin' and you can hear me start a squawkin'
And a beggin' you to come back home
Cause ever since I was a little bitty teeny girl...
You got the only baby that'll walk the line
You got the only baby that'll walk the line

BE QUIET MIND
(Liz Anderson)
« © '67 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »
Every night and every day you go on the same old way
Do you have to keep reminding me he's gone now
And you're saying I was wrong but I knew that all along
So be quiet mind we stayed away too long now
Now that he's no longer mine you think of him all the time
If you let me be I might forget him somehow
Yes I've lost my love it's true do I have to lose you too
Please be quiet mind I want to go to sleep now
[ steel ]
Well it's almost breaking dawn must he still go on and on
We'll just learn to get along without him
For the only thing you do is to drive me out of you
Please be quiet mind let's hear no more about him
Now that he's no longer mine...
Please be quiet mind I want to go to sleep now

(Leon Ashley - Margie Singleton)
« © '68 Al Gallico Music, BMI »
Well that ain't a gonna be as long now as it has been
I got a feelin' that me and love are in tune
And that ain't a gonna be as long now as it has been
Some wilt the flower of love that's waitin' to bloom
Sunshine and laughter just over the hill all I got to do is fly
Someone is waitin' true love to give waiting over on the other side
Well that ain't a gonna be as long...
[ guitar ]
Sunshine and laughter...

WAVE BYE BYE TO THE MAN
(Jo Gibson - Buck Lindsay)
« © '69 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »
See the man at the door the one who made us cry
He won't anymore for we'll be gone bye bye
My little one you see he don't love you and me
So raise your little hand and wave bye bye to the man
He's the man who stays gone more than he stays at home
The man you call dad the one you never had
The real daddy you know would never let us part
He'd hold us here with love that comes straight from his heart
But this one doesn't care he just keeps standin' there
So raise your little hand and wave bye bye to the man
[ steel ]
He's the man who stays gone...
So raise your little hand and wave bye bye to the man
Wave bye bye to the man wave bye bye to the man wave bye bye to the man

OUR HOUSE IS NOT A HOME
(Curly Putman - Shirley Mayo)
« © '69 Tree Publishing, BMI »
Our house is hushed with only lonely we had crystal teardrops for our chandelier
Shatters of sadness won't let happiness get in
Our house is not a home for there's never been love in
Our bedroom has courtains of icy lace fine carpets where my restless feet have cased
To be so lovely yet so empty it must be a sin
Our house is not a home for there's never been love in
It's never known a joy or the sound of tiny feet
In cold protection it looks down on the world like you look down on me
Why do we try to fool the world why do we pretend
Our house is not a home for there's never been love in
Our house is not a home for there's never been love in

AUCTIONEER
(Leroy VanDyke - Buddy Black)
« © '56 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »
There was a boy in Arkansas who wouldn't listen to his ma
When she told him that he should go to school
He'd sneak away in the afternnon take a little walk and pretty soon
You'd find him at the local auction barn
Well he'd stand and listened carefully then pretty soon he began to see
How the auctioneer could talk so rapidly
He said oh my it's do or die I've got to learn that auction cry
Gotta make my mark and be an auctioneer
A 15 dollar bid and now 20 now
Will you gimme 20 make it now 20 bi di di bom a 20 now
Will you gimme 20 who da ba bi bi da 20 dollar bid
I got 20 dollar bid and now 25 now
Will you gimme 25 make it now 25 bi di di bom a 25 now
Will you gimme 25 who da ba bi bi da 25 dollar bid
Well as time went on he did his best and all could see he didn't jest
He practiced calling bids both night and day
His pop would find him behind the barn just working up an awful storm
As he tried to imitate an auctioneer
His dad said son we just can't stand to have a mediocre man
Sellin' things at action using our name
We'll send you off to auction school and then you'll be nobody's fool
You can take your place among the best
A 25 dollar bid and now 30 now
Will you gimme 30 make it now 30 bi di di bom a 30 now
Will you gimme 30 who da ba bi bi da 30 dollar bid
A 30 dollar bid and now 35 now
Will you gimme 35 make it now 35 bi di di bom a 35 now
Will you gimme 35 who da ba bi bi da 35 dollar bid
So from that boy who went to school there grew a man who played it cool
He came back home a full fledget auctioneer
And the the people came from miles around just to hear him make that rhytmic sound
That fill their hearts with such a happy cheer
His fame spread out from shore to shore but he had all he could do and more
Had to buy a plane to get around
Now he's the best in all the land let's pause to give that man a hand
He's the best of naughty auctioneers
I got 35 dollar bid and now 40 dollar 40
Will you gimme 40 make it 40 bi di di bom a 40 dollar
Will you gimme 40 who da ba bi bi da 40 dollar bid
I got 40 dollar bid and now 45 dollar 45
Will you gimme 45 make it 45 bi di di bom a 45 dollar
Sold it out now for 45 dollar bid
Hey well all right sir
40 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 I sold that hog for for a 50 bid

FLATTERY WILL GET YOU EVERYWHERE
(Liz Anderson)
« © '69 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »
I noticed how you smiled just now surprised that having seen
How I ate up your flattery then lick the platy clean
I've been so starved for pretty words are ever insincere
Till as for me flattery will get you everywhere
So brag me up and make me smile and I'll do things your way
Say pretty words to me and I'll do anything you say
Don't worry if they're true or not the truth is I don't care
And as for me flattery will get you everywhere
Another loves said hurtin' words outil our love was gone
He'd always get the shoe to fit that I'll have to put it on
Say words unkind and soon my mind would close from ear to ear
And as for me flattery will get you everywhere
So brag me up...
And as for me flattery will get you everywhere
