SANTA CLAUS (I STILL BELIEVE IN YOU)
(Randy Owen - Teddy Gantry - John Jarrard)
« © '84 Tree Publishing, BMI / ATV Tunes, ASCAP »
You always come around this time of year
With your big ole bag that's full of Christmas cheer
And when it starts to snow the little boys and girls all know
Soon they'll hear the sounds of your reindeer
Now sometimes grownups grow up to believe
That you don't really come on Christmas Eve
But I don't think that's true cause I know I've seen you
In the sparking little eyes under the tree
Oh Santa Claus I still believe in you
There's still a kid inside of me that still believes you're true
Oh Santa Claus the kids are tucked in tight
The hour has a light and it's time to play ole Santa Clause tonight
Well I don't see how anybody could ever doubt there really is a Santa Clause
Especially if they've ever seen a little boy who just got his very first bike
Or if they've ever seen a little girl
With her arms wrapped around her baby doll so tight
Both of 'em waking up mama and daddy way before daylight
And grandma and grandpa just looking young and lovin' life
Just knowin' that their grandkids are gonna be alright
And mama and daddy they'll be waiting up to answer ole Santa's call
Cause tonight they ain't worried about the bills Lord they're just lovin' it all
Oh Santa Claus I still believe in you
There's still a kid in all of us that still believes you're true
Oh Santa Claus the kids are sleeping tight
We're turning out the lights and I'll be waiting up for you tonight
Santa Claus the kids are tucked in tight
Santa Claus turning out the lights
Oh Santa Claus I still believe in you

JOSEPH AND MARY'S BOY
(Don Cook - Keith Whitley)
« © '84 Tree Publishing, BMI / Cross Keys Publishing, ASCAP »
Out here in the country there's magic in the air
It's the middle of December there's excitement eveywhere
Everyone's invited the celebration's planned
The gift is just what's in your heart and not what's in your hands
And who's the one we need to thank and who's this particular
Who's the one responsible for all this peace and joy
And who deserves the credit for the blessings we enjoy
Preacher said last Sunday it was Joesph and Mary's boy
There were times we didn't think we'd make it through the year
The bankers tried to take our farms but somehow we're still here
I don't know how our crops survived the drought and too much rain
It must have been a miracle how else could you explain
And who's the one we need to thank...
The Christ child born in Bethlehem it was Joesph and Mary's boy
Everyone's invited the celebration's planned
The gift is just what's in your heart and not what's in your hands

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
(Randall Rogers - Swain Shafer)
« © '84 Sister John Music, BMI / Tree Publishing, BMI / Swainsongs, BMI »
Smiling faces on city streets crowded shoppers and busy feet
And every smile just seems to say we're having some happy Holidays
Twinkling lights on Christmas trees kids up on Santa's kneww
Busy lines on telephones sending a Merry Christmas home
Bells are ringing everywhere season spirits in the air
Up and down the avenue holiday dreams are coming true
A choir singing songs of cheer carols we all love to hear
And Rudolph with his glowing nose and lovers under mistletoe
[ ac.guitar - keyboards ]
Postman bringing Christmas cards reindeer out in the yard
And frosty with his eyes of coal present wrapped in pretty bows
Sidewalks full of happy eyes flakes falling from the sky
And boys and girls at the big parade to see St Nick upon his sleigh
The scene is set it's beautiful sounds of peace joy and love
From all of us we'd like to say have yourself some happy Holidays

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES
(John Greenbaum - Becky Hobbs - Randy Albright)
« © '84 Rockaroo Music, BMI / Senders Court Music, BMI / WB Music, ASCAP »
There's a blanket of snow covering up the old road
To the house where I was raised
Through the window I see the lights on the tree
And a glow from the old fireplace
Though it all looks the same so much has changed
From the way it used to be
Christmas memories of happy years gone by
They come back to me and keep me warm inside
Still those memories make me cry
Now the stockings are filled though the house is still
And the kids are all dreamin' away
There's that old easy chair me and daddy sat there
Waiting for Santa's sleigh
Now daddy's gone but we'll carry on
Cause the little ones will need
Christmas memories of happy years gone by
They come back to me and keep me warm inside
Still those Christmas memories oh they mean so much to me
Those Christmas memories make me cry

TONIGHT IS CHRISTMAS
(Stan Munsey - Keith Worsham - Don Matthews)
« © '84 Millhouse Music, BMI / Desert Rose Music, BMI »
The factories are shut down and the shopping malls are all closed
The busy streets are empty cept falling snow
In the small towns and the cities families gather as one
Cause the night of love and sharing they've looked forward to has come
Tonight is Christmas tonight is love
Tonight we celebrate God's one and only son
Tonight there's hope for peace on earth eternally
Tonight is Christmas and the world's in harmony
But across the seas two armies stare down at each other's guns
Each believing in their cause enough to die or kill the other one
But tonight there'll be no shootin' not a drop of blood will spill
They'll cease their fire this silent night in the name of peace and goodwill
Tonight is Christmas tonight is love...

THISTLE HAIR THE CHRISTMAS BEAR
(Donny Lowery)
« © '84 Micropterus Music, ASCAP / Sheddhouse Music, ASCAP »
The city's full of manger scenes and stores lit up in red and green
But down the road just out of town there's more magic to be found
The countryside is all aglow with holly trees and mistletoe
And in them woods there lives a bear known to all as Thistle Hair
Oh Thistle Hair the Christmas bear spreading the good news everywhere.
About Christmas time and what it means to all the children of the world
Every little boy and girl out there loves Thistle Hair
Comes around this time of year spreading lots of Christmas cheer
The kids all love this shiny coat and the smell of honey on his nose
He tells them all about the star everything that it stands for
The birthday we all celebrate is still our favorite holiday
Oh Thistle Hair the Christmas bear...
Wherever you find old Thistle Bear there'll be music in the air
He dances round the Christmas tree every single New Year's Eve
Then he and all his furry friends gather round the fire again
And sing about those Angelines gifts of love that Christmas brings
Oh Thistle Hair the Christmas bear...
Oh Thistle Hair the Christmas bear...

TENNESSEE CHRISTMAS
(Gary Chapman - Amy Grant)
« © '84 Meadowgreen Music, ASCAP / Word Music, ASCAP »
Come on weather man give us a forecast snowy white
Can't you hear the prayers of every child like heart tonight
Rockies are calling Denver snow falling somebody said it's four feet deep
But it doesn't matter give me the laughter I'm gonna choose to keep
Another tender Tennessee Christmas the only Chirstmas for me
Where the love circles around us like the gifts beneath our tree
Well I know there's more snow up in Colorado than my roof will ever see
But a tender Tennessee Christmas is the only Christmas for me
Every now and then I get a wandering urge to see
Maybe California maybe Tinsel town's for me
There's a parade there we'd have it made there
Bring home a tan for New Year's Eve
Sure sounds exciting awfully inviting still I think I'm gonna keep
Another tender Tennessee Christmas it's the only Christmas for me
Where the love circles around us like the gifts beneath our tree
Well they say in LA it's a warm holiday it's the only place to be
But a tender Tennessee Christmas is the only Christmas for me
It's the only Christmas for me
Come on weather man every now and then
Tender Tennessee Christmas tender Tennessee Christmas

CANDLE IN THE WINDOW
(Walt Aldridge - Susan Longacre - Gary Baker)
« © '84 Colgems Music, ASCAP / Zomba Enterprises, ASCAP »
There's a road that I remember leading to a special place
Where the door was always open to a smiling face
There's a picture on the mantle of a boy who looks like me
And it's always the same there's a stocking with my name
And a candle in the window a flame against the night
There's a candle in the window it's like God's perfect light
Now it don't take a lot of money to know what riches are
Just a candle in the window oh and Christmas in your heart
Maybe it's just wishful thiking I can hear the sleigh bells ring
Almost taste the pie mama's baking it's Christmas Eve
There's a candle in the window...
Wherever the years may take me no matter how far I go
There's gonna e a candle burning it's always nice to know
And it don't take a lot of money to know what riches are
A simple candle in the window oh and Christmas in your heart
In your heart in your heart
Just a candle in the window just a candle in the window

HOMECOMING CHRISTMAS
(Randall Rogers)
« © '84 Sister John Music, BMI »
A glowing fire and falling snow they spark a memory
Stockings hanging mistletoe presents beneath the tree
A happy boy waking up to toys and looking so surprised
And wondering how Santa knew just when I closed my eyes
It's a homecoming Christmas going back to where it all began
Homecoming Christmas I wanna be there once again
Memories so sweet and strong and I've been gone too long
It's Christmas time and I am going home
I can see the Christmas tree and feel the warm fireplace
Handmade decorations homemade pies and cakes
Family together now with so much love to share
A special time and I can't wait can't wait to be out there
It's a homecoming Christmas...
[ guitar ]
It's a homecoming Christmas...

CHRISTMAS IN DIXIE
(Randy Owen - Teddy Gantry - Jeff Cook)
« © '84 Tree Publishing, BMI »
By now in New York City there's snow on the ground
And out in California the sunshine's falling down
And maybe down in Memphis Graceland's all in lights
And in Atlanta Georgia there's peace on earth tonight
Chirstmas in Dixie it's snowing in the pines
Merry Christmas from Dixie to everyone tonight
[ piano - strings ]
It's windy in Chicago the kids are out of school
There's magic in Motown the city's on the move
In Jackson Mississippi to Charlotte Caroline
And all across the nation it's the peaceful Christmas time
Chirstmas in Dixie...
And from Fort Payne Alabama merry Christmas tonight
